Dan Kelly

The Camberwell potter has produced a new range of studio ceramics for this Salisbury show. He is continuing to develop his raw-surfaced stoneware. Skilful throwing technique is accompanied by lyrical sculpting and the occasional application of a contrasting design.

Dan is now a highly collectable potter, with works selling at auction for far higher prices than the ex-studio pieces.

Richard Hoare

Richard Hoare divides his time between his studios in Shaftesbury and France, as well as making regular working trips to Cornwall and Scotland. Working directly from nature he excels at capturing fleeting effects of light and is fascinated by transient phenomena such as the play of light on water. The work selected for this show is exclusively monochrome.
